2010 PENNSYLVANIA ELECTIONS – IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

Note: All dates in this calendar are subject to change without notice in event of passage of amendatory legislation.

February 16:   First day to circulate and file nominating petitions
February 27:   Petition Signing Party Rolling Hills Country Club - noon to 4:00 p.m.
March 9:        Last day to circulate and file nominating petitions
March 10:      First day to circulate and file nominating papers
March 24:      Last day for withdrawal by candidates who filed nominating petitions
April 19:         Last day to REGISTER before the primary
May 11:         Last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot
May 14:         Last day for County Board of Elections to receive civilian voted
                    Absentee ballots
May 18:         PRIMARY ELECTIONS
May 19:         First day to REGISTER after primary
May 25:         Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted military and
                    overseas absentee ballots (postmarked no later than May 17)
August 2:       Last day to circulate and file nomination papers
August 9:       Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated by nomination papers
                    Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated at the primary
October 4:      Last day to REGISTER before the NOVEMBER Election
October 26:    Last day to apply for a civilian Absentee ballot
October 29:    Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted civilian
                    Absentee ballots
November 2:  GENERAL ELECTION
November 3:    First day to REGISTER after November election
November 9:    Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted military and
                     overseas absentee ballots (postmarked no later than November 1)
